Hi all,
I noticed that my clutch fluid reservoir was empty again so I filled it to the max level and ran it round the block. I looked again and although the level was the same the fluid had changed from a nice amber to a silver/grey so i sucked it out with a syringe and repeated. The same thing happened.
I got the car in the air and opened the bleed nipple and pumped a load of old break fluid through till it ran clear then chased that through with brand new dot 4.
So far so good the level has not dropped and the colour is good but i've only been a few miles since.
I cant find a leek at the master or slave cylinder so where does the fluid go and what caused it to go silver/grey?
Thanks in advance.

No sign of fluid around the pedal or under the carpet and no sign of fluid around the slave on the gearbox. Its very strange. The clutch behaves normally, biting low and progressively. Is it possible that its leaking into the gearbox? I don't know how hydraulic clutches work but I imagine that there's piston that extends separating the 2 plates. If that piston was leaking a small amount, the fluid could be burned or run into the gearbox maybe. But that does'nt explain the colour of the fluid I drained.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
