me on the ring (with a posh sounding mate
)
only my 3rd lap, suffering from fried brakes but you get the idea.
oh, performance would have been a bit blunted by the tools, spares and camping gear in the boot. plus a shit scared driver
spec wise: standard M30B35 in a touring (1500kg + driver), LPG kit fitted but not running (50kg extra in the boot and a LPG venturi fitted limiting power to about 205bhp), leda coilovers, 17" chav wheels with assorted tyres, standard brakes with 50% worn mintex M1144 pads, 3.91 open diff
just about managed a 10 min BTG though

it's the extreme speed of the M30 bending the wiper arms upwards
they'were positioned ok, just the passenger was holding the camera in as much of a low-profile stealthy manner possible to avoid getting seen filming

i managed a shockingly good 36-38mpg on my ring trips
can't complain at that
fuel prices were on the whole, cheaper than in the UK but this was last year and the exchange rate has changed to our disadvantage.
accomodation is about 35 euros/night in a local B&B
i reckon a long weekend with ferries, 10 laps, fuel, food etc can be had for about £400 - 600.
you'd want to have easy access to £1k though, in case of breakdowns and miscalculations etc.
