Dose any one make looks to swap directly into an e30. The engine I have didn't come with the right loom as I'm missing a few plugs and it's been butcherd out. I'm also missing a crank sensor and the starter wires. If any one can help it will be much appreciated thanks again

IIRC, an E30 M20 loom can be used with only very minor mods.

Will need to be a facelift loom, so post '87. 2.0 and 2.5 litre looms are identical.
CHECK MY STICKY 'WIRING WARNING' AT THE TOP OF THE ENGINE SWAPS FORUM.
I don't really know what mods are required, since I've never dealt with an M30 conversion. To me, fitting something as primitive as an M30 into an E30, is just one step short of fitting a steam engine, in spite of the power and torque it produces.
Wiring diagrams for both engine management systems are here: http://www.autolib.diakom.ru/CAR/BMW/ No knowledge of Russian required - click on the boxes.
If you compare both circuit diagrams for '89 cars, you will see that there is very little difference.
