August if all goes to plan! Fuel pump will be here by the end of the week, so once it's up and running I'll put it in for MOT.

Right, time for an update
Engine is running fine, car went for MOT a couple of weeks ago and failed on all 4 inner wheelarches holed and an indicator bulb out. The welding is being finished today, plus a bit of rust on the bulkhead where the old glovebox bolt went got sorted out at the same time.
Still got lots of little jobs to finish off, and also some goodies to fit in the new year

Pulley was from VAC in the US, and the cam kit came from Bar-Tek in Germany

Car is MOT'd now, I'll sort out a decent update soon. As well as the engine work I want to take out the sunroof motor and mechanism, the headlining and just give it a good tidy up.
I'd forgotten how much the torque makes you smile on these big old lumps, pulled away slowly in 2nd then floored it in 3rd and the back end started squirming around on the way home from the MOT station

nice, it's been great driving these monsters in the recent wet weather
i'll get a trip to Bristol organised in the near future and bring the M30, be interesting to drive each others and see how they perform, I bet your's is much faster being much lighter.

That's a great idea Jim, would be nice to see how they drive back-to-back
I need to get mine weighed and see if it's much lighter than standard

Haven't updated this for a while, been stuck on a crappy laptop as my PC has broken and it's stupidly slow at uploading pics
Here's a few bits that I've been working on:
Whiteline 24mm front ARB fitted:

Sunroof motor, cage and everything stripped out, just leaving the outer skin of the sunroof panel tiger sealed in place:

Supported in place while the tiger seal went off:

Timing chain tensioner and guide replaced, before:

After:

Sacrificed a crank pulley to make a monster crank locking tool
, pictured with my 3/4" drive meter long breaker bar:

Crank locking tool in action:

Sunroof panel needs a bit of filling and painting, and I need to get rid of the surface rust on the underside of the roof before it turns into something more serious! I used the guide on here http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=135991, and it was really helpful

A bit more done this weekend, the heater valve was leaking and so was one of rubber o-rings on the pipe leading to it, so I made the decision to rip out all the heater assembly and replace it with with an electric heater blower. A bit drastic I know, but it's taken a fair bit of weight out the car. It was a struggle and took a while but I managed to get the lot out with the dash still in the car.
Heater all gone!

And a panel put in it's place. I re-used the rubber gasket that sealed the heater box and cut a piece of aluminium sheet to fit over the hole, with a bit of sealant around the bottom to make sure no water gets into the cabin:

Other than that I've just been bolting the rollcage back in as I had to take it out to get the sunroof assembly out.
