The usual things is to use M20 runbber mounts. I've got some uprated M20 ones on mine, or a cheap way is Landrover mounts or Burton Power sell a Ford mount that is suitable, can't remember which model it is from though

Thats the ones, although when I trial fitted a pair I have they were shorter than M20 mounts so would need a washer or 2 to pack them out to be the same height

Those Landrover ones are the ones im running, its in my thread somewhere but im sure you need about a 10mm spacer to get them up to M20 mount height.
E34 mounts are to big.

thanks Lee
Which mounts are the correct ones 41mm or 50mm. I've checked burtons website they list two mounts On the above sizesrob0r wrote:I've used Burton for my conversion, perfect fit and worked great with lee's mounts, very cheap and no spacers needed. They won't work with standard alloy BMW mounts as they are too thick for the amount of thread available.

Im sure its the 50mm ones you need.
Depending on your mounts/arms, the nut goes on with just a couple of mm poking out.NickSuzy wrote:How long are the threaded sections on the landrover mounts. As with a 10mm spacer plus the mount, there cant be alot of meat left to put the nut onto.
It is just that i will order mine today if they are ok.

Ordered myself some from burtons, it's the 50mm ones you need fella, pretty much the same as BMW ones but don't have locating tabs on bottom, still tightened up nicely with out jus spinning around.mcbonio wrote:Which burtons mounts are the correct ones 41mm or 50mm. ??

I missed this again... Yeah the 50mm are the ones to go for, I just ordered my latest set for my new M30 conversion about a week ago, they ended up around £22 delivered IIRC. Good mounts, BUT won't work with any factory BMW cast ally engine mounts as they are too thick to have enough thread to bolt up. Lee's steel mounts work perfectly though
Awful picture but you get the idea

Sit the engine in lovely
