Frankie what for? Are you declaring it on the log book? I wouldn't bother mate, just make sure you are insured for the engine change.

It's been discussed a few times, it can open up a world of shit with the DVLA and on old cars AFAIK it doesn't really matter on the log book
How do you pronounce 'either'? I say 'either', but some say 'either'. Either is correct.

ah, yes was going to do just that, but if its gonna kick up a load of grief think I'll just leave well alone..

Have it insured for 3.5 so I guess thats the legit part...

There was a discussion on here about it a couple of months back, I'm sure others will confirm?

I think the DVLA want engineers reports and allsorts if you declare it

And possibly a VIC test etc

Boot lid is badged up with 335i, I bet the first sharp eyed traffic division that spots it will have plenty to say in my ear when it comes back as 2.5

but I can live with that :)

Engine number is on a machined flat to the right of the inlet side engine mount, just above the block:sump interface.

You often need to use a wire brush and Jenolite to see the numbers though.

I was going to ask this question as my log book still says 320i, but it has always been insured as a 3.5. The insurance won't get funny with the fact the log book still says the standard engine size if you ever had to make a claim then?

Thats for an M20 Maurice. :)

M30 number is just above the starter motor, yours will start 34 6K B.
