would an e39 a/c do the job?

Im looking to change the fan on my m30 would an e39 ac do the job?

I know a few people are using e36 ones,

It will be running of a switch as when i wire the one i got in it keeps blowing fuses for some reason.

If it will fit in the gap under the slam panel id say it would work fine.

It was cheap and same size as the one I have now the only reason i was replacing was because it was making a funny noise when spinning.
