I've done a bit of research (that makes a drunken googling sound rather formal) and as far as I can tell only boxes originally fitted to the big six will work with the m30b35 other than a few boxes previously linked to the M10.
Am I correct in this assumption?
I've been offered an m30b35 for £50 and I reckon 208bhp would be superb in my Car linked to a manual box, but I want to make sure an easy engine/ box combo is available.
So...
Getrag code numbers and car model codes would help if any people could share them, also... how many splines on the gearbox input shaft and the shaft thickness would be superb info if shared.
Thanks,
Johnna

Where you been?
All M30 gearboxes will fit and that means older cars, ie E28's etc... there's about 3 people on here using M10 box's (maybe more) apart from that nothing else (that i know of) will fit
There's an M30 section on here now vvv

Manual M30 boxes are less common but they're out there if you look hard enough
