Has anyone fitted an M30b35 into a pre-facelift shell? Are there are differences from fitting it into a facelift shell? Different wiring perhaps?

Mine's a pre-facelift cabby btw.

TIA

What year is it?
If its as above, wiring is the same as mine, 3 wires to change over.

Ollie- It could be anything winkeye , will be a 335ti once i've finished though

You need to find out what managment it has first, The shell may be early shape but the internal's might all be late.

If it is early it will still be easy.

The shell is bare, i'm going to be hopefully putting in a wiring loom from a pre-facelift cabby.

where does the expansion bottle sit for the rad ? if it sits on the drivers wing its a newer one. if it sits on the passengers wing its a early one.

Nothing in my engine bay at all.

I've got a choice of fitting a facelift wiring loom or a pre-facelift wiring loom in the cabby. I'd rather fit the pre-facelift wiring loom as it has the 'check panel' wiring but want to make sure it will still work with the M30.

Hope that makes sense.

Imy - can you not get a loom from a facelift 6 pot - sounds as though it will tick all the boxes then. 3 - wires as Rav says.

I've been looking for a 6 pot loom for a while now but nothing available and i really need to get the cabby back on the road ASAP so will go with the pre-facelift loom. Surely it can't be that different can it?

Noted that thread, cheers :thumb:

Erm other way round I tthink, expansion bottle on the driverside wing is an early car, on the passeger side is a late car.
