I have just purchased an e30 for some light track duty and I'm making plans for what I wanna do to it.

On the engine it already has:
Miller Gen 2 MAF conversion for 19 lb injectors
19 lb injectors
Rising rate fuel pressure regulator
Bimmerheads 280/274 cam

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Miller conversion comes with a chip for the 19 lb injectors, but isn't accounting for the Bimmerheads cam.

Is there much power to be found with a custom tune for the whole system?
It also idles pretty low and pretty rich, maybe 650 rpms. Any advice for this, or is it not really hurting anything besides mpg? (That's what the PO said.)

Also does anybody know if there's a much difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Miller conversions?

Perhaps try fitting some standard injectors and FPR, and see if it improves things...

Running rich isn't good for the engine, as it causes bore wash (excess fuel washing the oil off the cylinders), leading to premature engine wear.

whatever you do, make sure you get it to a rolling road to check the fuelling before you start hammering it around a race track
