Hello,

Today my newly rebuilt engine has running in about 2 hours.

And made compression test

6x engine turn

Cyl 1 is 130 psi
Cyl 2 is 120 psi
Cyl 3 is 120 psi
Cyl 4 is 120 psi
Cyl 5 is 130 psi
Cyl 6 is 140 psi

Does is it OK? I feel it is better than my old engine.

But I still feel very smooth misfire.

Does this result can change or improve after more running in?

And how long the break in procedure?

Thank you
Markus

Hi,

FYI

Have just also done this on my M20B25 with 170,000 miles on it (+ turbo for last 10,000 miles) and I get
130 - 135psi across all cylinders (test performed cold).....

I think they are ment to be 147psi as new, so maybe your engine needs a bit more bedding in for it to come up. I would just retest when you have done a 500 miles or so
