Hi,

I have an 86 eta 325e which I have already swapped the engine in. The new engine is a fully rebuilt 2.5i.

The mechanic has hooked all the wires up and but there seems to be no spark. Fuel and compression are there.

He has hooked up everything to the original harness and is using the eta ecu (0 261 200 027).

Do I have to change the harness to one which will fit the 325i ecu to get it started and for maximum performance? The ecu for the 325i I have is 0 261 200 153.

Is there an ecu which I can get which will connect directly to the eta harness If I do have to switch my ecu?

Thanks in advance guys!

PS. power comes to the solenoid, but we don't see any power going from the solenoid to the distributor.
