Can anyone recommend a place to get some con rods bolts or is BMW the best bet?
I would go for ARP's, but it's a cheap 2.8 build that I only plan on keeping in there for a year

yeah goto BMW IMO as its a critical part, though never really seen aftermarkets ones besides ARP.
if you need ARP's then you need a better rod than the OEM ones lol

Cheers. I was hoping there was an OEM equivalent with non dealer prices.
Should have embellished, I meant ARP's with uprated rods. Rods with ARP's included are almost cheap enough to justify it if the build wasn't just temporary for fun

Not worth uprated rods for a basic B28 build. Power levels and revs are limited by other parts before the rods are an issue.
