Today, this is the first time I try my m20 b25 with exhaust/muffler instaled and also thermostat.
I feel small tremor through the steering wheel at idle, but engine is very smooth while running, so I think this is because one of my injector is not balance not working correctly or may be air flow.
But this engine is likely lazy to Rev and feel heavy to accelerate, does is it m20 characteristic? Or something wrong? Or engine still in break in condition? Or because one of my injector may be die?
And I still use 4.10 diff so 2000rpm with 4th gear is about 60 km hours.
Any info?
Thank you in advance
Markus
m20 325i how you feel about this engine?

Check today spark plug at piston number 1 is too clean like new. Check there is a spark red color and change with other plug and spark is blue color.
I think plug is not good and may be ht lead or also distributor cap.
But the main problem is Injector not working

Possibly a bad plug, they are cheap and easy to swap so always worth a try.
What brand of plugs are you using? NGK I hope?

I use bosch but will try ngk later. What is the advantage of ngk over bosch?
Found that injector at piston 1 is died, replace it and try again wow feel the engine smoother and feel power has come.
But still a little tremor, so check.Afm, ht lead and distributor cap.
My rotor has colide with 2 of distributor electrode, because of rotor wobble.
Change distributor cap and fix the rotor also ht lead and it more smoother.
I think it is enough for now and try running at road, all power feel come out but engine is very smooth, it feel heavy but firm may be this is true character of m20.
This engine is very thirsty but I hope if I have fund will up grade with 3.73 or 3.64 because a lot of highway here. Now with 4.10 diff I can get 40-45 miles per hour with 2000rpm at third. I still need to get original gear lever selector as now is cut and welding so sometimes difficult to gear up and down
Still need to break in the engine as now still 15 miles running.

Lots of reports about mystery misfires from the bosch plugs so watch out for that.
I have had it personally, sudden hard misfire under full load that I could not cure until I changed the plug out.
It will still be quite tight nut should loosen up over the next few thousand miles.

Yes. Once the engine is properly run in, it will be more efficient and more economical.
A good 325i should easily return 26mpg average, with 30mpg achievable on a long motorway cruise, or gentle driving.
