Hello,
What will happened if I bore up but without give honing to the bore?
I see some modern engine without any honing is possible.
It is difficult to fine very good machine shop that can make perfect honing pattern and like my old m40 rebuil engine is eat oil every 700km I shoul add oil about 0.5liter.

It depends what is cylinder sleeve condition and what is piston diameter. Maybe you engine is crap because cylinder ovality reaches out of tolerance.
