I'm sure the 320i G240 and the M40 G240 gearboxes are different lengths, so as you're using a 320i gearbox you will most likely need to use the 320i gear linkages.

I think the M40 gear linkage will be slightly too long.

Sorry I don't know, I've never compared the two.

may be I got the answer from this? because I have measure that gear box from 318i and 320i has same dimension, so I think this will be same gearbox linkage and also propshaft

Gearbox
While the standard M20B25 gearbox is a Getrag 260, it is not uncommon to fit the Getrag 240 gearbox from the 320i for its sportier ratios. Using this box also means its possible to retain your 318i or 316i propshaft. If you use the Getrag 260, you need the shorter propshaft that goes with it. It is possible to use an M40 gearbox, but it will sit at a significant angle, which necessitates customising the gearbox mount and shifter mechanism; not recommended.

Prop
The prop needs to be matched to your gearbox. Since the available gearboxes are different lengths, you need to find a longer or shorter prop to compensate for that length. If using the original 325i gearbox, you'll need the prop that goes with it - no other one will fit.

Good news :D
I thought the 320i gearbox was longer, the props are different lengths but I guess only by a few mm so the prop adjustment would take care of that.

G240 from 318i and 320i has same size 51cm but there is and adjustment in the gearbox bracket/cradle, because of the engine that is longer than 318i. But i still don't know how much centimeters to the back before try to install it.
