Hi, I have been reading some articles online about dropping in the m50b28 crank. One article mentions a couple of things no other ones do, it says:
"The conical thrust washer needs slimming down by 2mm and the shank of the front pulley bolt needs about 15 - 20 mm taking off. This allows the threads on the bolt to reach further up into the crank. The threads in the M50/52 crank are further up the nose of the crank than the M20. "
Is this correct? Do I need to machine the crank bolt down so it can thread further into the M50 crank? Do I need to swap out the M50 spigot bearing? I dont remember a thrust washer coming off my M20...?
TIA!
