I think you'll be one of the first (if not the first) to try and fit an M40 box to an M20 engine.

Ok changed my mind lol just got offered the whole lot getrag 260 gbox fly ect ect for pretty cheap so I'll just do that.

Yeah just panicking a bit about christmas (money) but in long term I won't regret it, could I use first part of a propshaft from the 325 prop and connect it to my second part that I have in my 318?? So I'll use small case diff driveshaft ect ect?

Rear parts are the same, so no point in doing that.
Prop is balanced as a whole, so running mismatched halves will lead to a vibrating shaft and destroyed centre bearing supports.
