Im trying to locate 12 new studs and bolts for my 1991 M20B20 and am having no luck.
Does anyone know where i can get some please? Bmw say that they could be one of a few sizes and refuse to order any until they look at the head and then they say that they could not guarantee they can get them!
My engineer tells me that they are 8x125 pitch and are 42mm long.
Thanks for your help.

When I did my exhaust studs I just ordered a few short lengths of stainless steel m8x1.25mm rod and cut them down to 40mm each and made my own
Then ordered a big bag of stainless nuts to match
Wound them in and hey presto shiney studs
I'll dig out a few pics

stainless on stainless has a higher chance of sticking - the bmw original nuts and studs are good and not expensive - the nuts are copper plated nuts so last well
as far as i know all m20 head bolts are the same

So all sorted. Snapped stud drilled out and new studs all fitted.
Had the head skimmed, valves lapped and tappets done. De coke, new fluids, cam belt and new gaskets. Added new plugs too.
Runs better now. Just the tickover needs looking at as its a bit laboured.
Thanks for your help all
