So i have M21D24 gearbox (at least the guy swore it is the one) and i see no difference in the casing whatsoever to one i had (which is no good anymore) on my M20B20.
The only awkward part which reallly put's me in doubt is the arm on top of the gearbox near the connecting part with Drive Shaft Rubber? It has a metal arm connected to the top of the gearbox which follows to the gear shifter mechanizm. Would that cause any kind of awkward fitting problems?
Or does anyone allready know if any modifications will be required?

There should be a part number on the bellhousing somewhere, which will identify it.
According to the Wiki, the ratios are identical:

Not sure about the non turbo but I have a 324td box and the output flange is the large M3 type
