1989 320i to 325 conversion

Hi there got a 89 320 and want to put the 2.5 in it, i think i may just buy a whole car for the ease of things so wondering the best year of 325 i can buy to make the conversion as straight forward as possible. Will a tourer be all rite? any help or even links to write ups would be greatly appreciated!
