Hi, I know it's not an e30, but...
I've had an m20b25 fitted to my 21 James from JFI Classics has done all the work, but it's got a problem with the cold idle. It is basically stalling until it gets warm. Starts fine. Hes changed the temp sensor, and idle control valve but made no difference. It looks like it's been chipped already, could it be that?
Any advice would be great!
This car is costing me loads to get done, the plan was to do it all myself but just haven't got time!
Cheers, Max

could be the chip but also could be the wiring double check the engine loom under the inlet manifold where the plug is
quite a common problem can get corrosion in there or a brake in the wire to the temp sensor or some thing ese

He says the temp sensor is working fine. Co levels are fine.
The only thing he can think of is the MAF, so I've bought a second hand one with the right part number, he's going to fit it today.....fingers crossed?!?
Guys on the e21 forum have been saying it could be the lambda, but it hasn't got one?! Was the lambda fitted to euro cars, or is it an age thing?
I have no idea what year car it came out of!
