Took my car to see a good friend today who runs a garage and loves his E30's he tells me the engine in my touring is the Sport engine and the best of the M20 325 engines.
Could someone please explain to me what makes a sport engine better than a normal M20?
Also does this mean my engine has some value? reason i ask is I'm kinda at a pivot point in deciding if I should keep the touring as my convertible will be ready soon, I do like the touring and would like to keep it but if its worth alot
more in parts I may be forced to break it.

As above, its exactly the same engine as any M20B25, the only difference is a sport engine will be stamped to go with the shell. Both of which have no difference to any other standard 325i.
If your thinking of selling the touring you bought not long ago, give me a pm as I may well be interested. Old man is still after one

I would be happy to sell it to you but I would be keeping the 15inch BBS wheels so you would need to provide your own or wait for me to get it on steels/bottletops be about another 2 months before I know exactly what I'll be doing with it , I'll contact you with a price closer towards the timeJim320i wrote:As above, its exactly the same engine as any M20B25, the only difference is a sport engine will be stamped to go with the shell.
