Hi,
About a year ago i rebuild my m20b25 with an ireland engineering 2.9 stroker kit and camshaft and.. full build with a megasquirt ecu at first it was going strong without any problems
but there is now coming a grinding noise from the engine after searching for a while what it could be i finally found the problem
my vibration damper is grinding against my waterpump pullie
the crankshaft is one from a m52b28 i believe, so its a 2.8 with racing pistons so it becomes a 2.9
does anybody know what the problem could be or is there someone who had the same problem and knows what happened or how to fix this?
my e30 is a weekend car so its only done about 2000 miles sinds rebuild
m20b29 vibration damper problem plz help!

Have you inspected the waterpump? They move about if the bearings are worn

its a new waterpump since 2000miles could it get worn that fast?
I already checked it yesterday with further stripping down and there was a little bit of play on it
