What's the safe rpm you can go on a m20b20 in a facelift car not for hitting every day but once in a while?

As standard it will have a limiter on it anyway at about 6500 iirc. I'm sure speedtouch does a chip that will take it to 7k. But a standard m20 is done and dusted at about 5800 anyway and the power starts tailing off rapidly.
Its the valve train components that will be the weak link in the chain. 7k is ok on these as long as everything is in good order and adjusted correctly. But when you start changing the working parameters of a 20 year old engine, dont be supprised if you break a rocker etc.

6200 or 6300 i think mine was standard I'm running megasquirt 3 at the mo and have it set for 6500, if the chip tuners can squeeze 7k I may bump it up a little then, my bike bounces at 14000 lol
