Getting ready to take the engine out of my 325es, wanting to build rather than swap because of the low end it already has. Forged internals, dual spring retainers, blueprinted (for reliability) and the whole 9. But how much power can really be expected? Wanting to turbo, nothing huge seeing that its a street car. I've just never seen "max" power ratings on these engines.

if you are intending to keep the bottom end then have you thought about decking the block 2mm & sing the 325i's 885 head?
if you are after outright power then go for the 885 head if you want bottom end torque then go for the 731 head modded to take a 325i cam or a higher spec cam.
also have a read through this VVVVV

also have a search through this part of the zone as there are quite a few threads about this.

Blue printing dosen't increase reliability vs any other engine with the correct tolerances.
Building a blue printed engine for the road is a pointless (and expensive) endeavor as no one is restricting the specifications, components or techniques you can use.
Your question of how much power can only be answered with how much do you want?
Without a specification then its all just guessing and anything can be done with enough budget.
There is no such thing as a "max power rating" for an engine as its all simply a case of budget. Proof of point is the 270hp 323 engines bmw were running in rally cars before the 325 even existed, given enough budget you can have anything you want.
