EGT sensor mounting!

Hi all! I'm finally getting my m20 turbo build under way I'm currently making my down pipe and I'm not sure where I should mount my EGT Sensor I have read the manifold is the ideal place,but my manifold is cast and I don't fancy drilling it. where have you mounted yours??
Any feedback will be appreciated

manifold is the best place to have it really you want it on no 6 runner where it gets the hottest im not sure if putting it on the down pipe will have the same effect might be wrong
