Is the alternator belt different from 2.0 - 2.5

As posted in title... done conversion from m20b20 to m20b25... gone to put the alt belt on from the 320 but it wont go on with the adjuster fully slackened off :S

both the same, have you got confused with the power steering belt ?

nope power steering belt is fitted. power steering only runs to the alternator am i right in thinking and the alt belt runs off the water pump crank pulley and alt... but it wont fit

power steering runs from the crank pulley, the alt belt also turns the waterpump,

sorry yeh thats what i ment. power steering is right...
the alternator belt i have going from the water pump, to the crank to the alternator... but adjusted all way its still not slack enuff
