Currently in the process of building a stroker using forged pistons to suit 135mm rods. Based on hairyscreech's thread, are we in agreement that the m52b28 are the lightest/strongest 135mm rods which fit the m20/m52/m54 cranks? I notice he didnt weigh any m54 rods, probably as he had none available! I would post this on his thread, but it seems he's been off the zone for a month or so (probably due to uni work).
My pistons have a net weight of 323g each, so want to keep everything as light as possible!
thanks

Unless you plan on some very serious power then the rods will not bend.
What is your final goal?

Its not particularly the strength I am concerned with, it is the weight of the rods. Apparently the m50 rods are slightly lighter than the m52b28 items, but the m52 are significantly stronger.
Im trying to find the lightest stock rods which are readily available. I see no sense in using nice light forged pistons and using 'heavy' stock m20 rods when I can source some m52 ones quite easily - so I just wanted to know if these were the lightest available which fit the cranks.
