It's not very good, read this thread from about page 8 and you'll see why http://www.e30zone.net/modules.php?name ... highlight=

Just buy the proper ecu to do the job mate.

the WAR chip is basically a methid of tuning the standard ECU but is limited to what miller allow u to tune.. think of it as standard ECU with training wheels.

if u want to DIY i suggest buying the moates ostrich 2.0 emulator (can be used as a permanent replacement for the standard chip) which allows live tuning of the standard ECU as well as map tracing to see where the ECU is reading in any map. couple the ostrich with tunerpro RT (free tuning software) and that will let u tune anything in the standard ECU to ur liking. the catch is there are no training wheels as such and even now 20 odd years later not every map has been figured out. i have done alot of work to figure out some previously unknown maps and such along with some other people also wanting to further the cause. there is enough known about the standard ECU to be able to tune for turbo tho..

if u want to go the ostrich/tunerpro route i can direct u to a suitable standard base file and the current most complete definition file for tunerpro and the 173 ECU. i may also be able o help with ignition timing and very roughly with fuelling tho u would need a wideband to tune fuelling. there is also a thread on e30tech which has tons of ignition timing values posted up by users running VEMS, MS or even stock motronic and alot of them are turbo conversions.
