is pretty simple swap just need all the 325 running gear and swap the wiring looms over
the hardest bit is prob swapping the loom over don't know much about that but there are plenty of peeps on here that's done it

It's only the engine loom which nerds to be swapped over.
The rubber fuel hoses in the enine bay need replacing with longer ones
You'll be requiring the following from whatever donor car your using.
Engine/gearbox complete with gearbox mounting,ECU,6 cylinder coding plug for the dash, propshaft, exhaust, rad and header tank, header tank plastic clip(if it's a facelift one),relay bracket for the N/S wing, engine wiring bracket, oil cooler clips and metal brackets which attach to the section behind the lower front panel, and don't forget the plastic mountings for the rad as they differ from the 4 pot ones.
Best grabbing the 325 diff as well.
Depressurise the fuel system and remove both fuel hoses, disconnect the engine wiring at the bulkhead plug and the battery and lay it on top of the manifold, remove rad and cowling, then remove the exhaust, and disconnect the prop, reverse light wiring and clutch slave cylinder, remove nuts from engine mountings then do the same with the gearbox mount. then it should be ready to lift out.

Whatever four pot model you have, it will need front springs suitable for the weight of a six pot, and unless your 316 is a cab. or a touring, the suspension and brakes from the donor wouldn't be a bad idea either.
