adding an oxygen sensor to L-Jetronic M20B23

Anyone know if adding an oxygen sensor to a 1984 323i L-Jetronic is possible.

The US had some 5 series E21 with L-Jetronic with a oxygen sensor and sort of makes sense to optimise an old fuel injection system??

after a fast google search, the cars with L-Jet with lambda sensors actually had a version called LU-Jetronic.

so i dont think you can add the lambda sensor to a regular L-Jet.
