I am currently in the early stages of doing an m60 conversion on my car, so unfortunatly the m20b25 has to go..
just wandering what its worth? weather its beter to sell as a package with box, loom and ecu etc, or sell the bits seperate?
just trying to make some extra cash to fund the project..
my car started off life as a 318i cab, but 2 weeks after buying it it was droped off to shaz ( on the zone ) were an m20 b25 was fitted. The engine was rebuilt by shaz and his brother before it was droped in, so all the head has new parts ,seals and so on, all major components were changed for new ones such as waterpump, cambelt, thermostat, ht leads etc.
The gear box, prop, diff, loom, ecu and exhaust came from a doner vehicle and where in second hand condition.
Engine was painted silver with alpina style rocker cover and inlet mainfold addedd. (still looks new)
I have since covered 4000 miles in the car as its been parked in the garage over the winter months. The engine was serviced about 1500 miles ago and also a mild chip was addded in the ecu. Engine is still in the car and i am planning to take it out next week.
so really what should i be advertising this for and is any body gona be interested or is it better just to store it for future projects? iv spent a bit on it but im in the situation wer im wandering if ill make any money back on it?
any help would be appreciated, thanks saj
