Hi all, my cabby project is coming along nicely. A friend has just replaced the worn out shocks and springs on my 91' 318i cabby with 325i items ready for a m20 conversion i was planning to do next winter. However, he has come accross a e34 525i with a good engine and box (m20) which has failed it's mot. It is within budget and I'm very tempted. Could anybody point out a guide on here for m40 to m20 conversion please? I know it's here somewhere but I can't find it
Can i fit the 525i engine and box? Are they any different to an e30 m20 and what about my diff? I'm hoping to fit an LSD eventually but will my m40 diff handle the power for now? And finally is the wiring still plug and play from an E34?
