just dug this pic out for someone on another site and thought id post it up here. shows the innards of my airflow meter and ive labelled the bits and what does what. no need to really go more than 2 teeth on the wheel in either direction and always mark the standard position on the wheel before u start messing with it. the adjustments will only effect the engine on lighter load and part throttle up untill the TPS signal overrides the airflow meter and the ECU goes into a pre-programmed fuel map for wide open throttle. can be useful in fine tuning how the car runs with a certain chip and certain mods at normal driving speed, light acceleration, etc.
to get the lid off the meter just run a blade around where its sealed onto the metal housing part of the meter and the lid lifts off (with some persuasion the first time around).
also if the M10 and M40 flap type meters are laid out the same internally then this should also apply to adjusting meters for those engines.
