for one yours have the air filter over the rocker cover, sucking in lots of warm air. i didnt know about the oil leak, but i did know the injectors were pissed. i even heard that Ant found them amuzing.

so on top of the £650, you needed a stand alone management system which cost? and fitting of the management wiring etc and mapping.

how long was your car off the road getting it up and running ? and how much power is it making ? simon's alpina on stock management and inlet makes similar power and torque and is quicker.

let be honest, if you'd bought he dBilas set up in the 1st place you would have saved your self months of aggro and actualy got to used your car. time = money

by all means these TB's can be adapted to work on a 4 or 6 pot engine, however it will take time and a significat injection of cash unless you are very skilled.
Standalone management I needed (and already had fitted) anyway to get rid of the afm, also the mapping was needed anyway so no major extra cash injection there.
The car was off the road for a while but that was very little down to the itb's, more waiting for the machine work on the head, block etc. As you know things don't often run all that fast down at Ant's place.
Also I couldn't have afforded the dbilas setup back then so it was the only route I could have taken init! Mine made just under 220bhp and just under 220ftlb with sock filters (directly over the rocker cover as you mentioned) and a poo exhaust and with pissed injectors :P

How do you know Simon's is quicker?lol. I'm not saying it isn't but c'mon all you can base that on is the 1/4 mile times at the pod. All the people with good times for their cars have ran them alot of times, simon barry, dan etc. I've been down that strip no more than 5 times in my life. I bet with simon driving it would get a good time :D Plus what tyres is Simon using on his pina? I was running p6000 8O Aswell as that my car was suffering massive heat-soak from queuing up for the runs. I was fairly pleased with a 15.2. With good tyres and cold air I don't see why it wouldn't get into the 14's
Anyway that's all the justification and excuses I'm gonna give :D

it might explain why no huge topend gains were made since the cam is not meant to operate north of 6000rpm on a NA engine due to the choking of the exhaust side whereas the dbilas systems looks like it was, but wouldn't really contribute to the midrange losses IMO.

Out of interest he gave me a dyno plot of the turbo cam vs the schrick 288 and only past around 6500 did the schrick 288 have any benefit.

There is no doubt the dbilas looks like a nice system but it is unproven to be close to worthwhile
