m20 into 318is

Is there any reason i can't use the 318is fuel tank, fuel pump,fuel lines and leave the filter in the engine bay?

Hi, all the original gear can be used, also leave the 318is clocks in place so the petrol guage will be the same, but change the coding plug for an M20 one so the rev counter will work properly.
