Hi guys
I'm pretty sure my headgasket is going. She's drinking a bit of water and has a couple of oil loss issues. Nothing major, but maybe something I should be mindful of.
And in that regard. I'm going to have to garage her to get it done. I don't have the space or the knowhow to do it myself. And having read the wiki I realised it might be an idea to have a head to give them straight off, since we're going to all the trouble of taking it off in the first place.
Does anyone have a nice reconditioned head? Or a fettled head that I can buy?
I am looking at the 2.8 conversions and trying to get my head around what I need. It's not easy for a learner with no practical engine experience. Is there a head out there that I can bolt on the current engine format with a future conversion in mind?
And the engine is the 2.5.
Also. I don't have to take it to a garage if someone is reasonable close to Oxford and wants the work. Especially if you got the knowhow for the full upgrade.
And how's your wielding . . . . hehe.
New head for my 2.5 Cabby.
