Sounds like a dam good plan fella, keep out of the cold, let someone else look after a car all winter in a garage. Then screw them for peanuts after Christmas when they find out how much the Mrs put on the cards.

serious is an understatement

its reliable and drivable and totally abusable

2.7 with ETA crank, lo comp with custom rods JE pistons. fully re worked head, big valves & cam. 75mm TB custom inlet haltech management with launch control, MSD ignition control and a big turbo but not from a lorry
6sp box, e36 evo large case diff and drive shafts

its 560bhp at the wheels

i've been out in it and its scary and relentless

it started as a 323i which he bought new in 1984, turbo'd with a moselman turbo kit an evolved to what it is today

the only failure is has was a drive shaft ( his son fucked it trying to do a 1/4 mile quicker than his dad ) and on broken valve.

he actually wants to go a bit further with it and he probably will unless he puts in a twin turbo S50 with about 1200bhp

Wow thats fantastic, makes mine seem a bit pony lol but i bet that aint come cheap.
My only engine failure has been a fooked oil pump/ oil kit due to a manufacturing fault.
Broke many things though like drive shaft (me launching it lol), twisted a prop.
The best thing is the E36 M3 diff makes all the diffrenence. one of the mods i have engoyed most.
I would love to see that go i have mine a full chat a few times but its quick and the road seems to dissappear.
i have to agree the delivery on turbo'd E30s its relentless just keeps coming and coming and its always on tap..

Kos Have you ever beenn to the enfield meet/ cruise my pal says ther is some nutty cars up there?

its his job so cost with reason was not a factor. he's built a sister engine for a customer and lots more including a 600bhp integra

his e36 diff includes the twin ear'd back cover and modded rear beam.

what diff are you actually using ?

I have a E30 dif E36 internals 3.25:1 ratio did have a 3.15 in there at one point but that was a silly ratio
:D
That some going those intergras are fast in std form but 600 poines must be a true weapon
TBH KOS i just have run out of love with mine ATM so thats why i am selling up in the new year. just sort those niggly bits out then it will be sold as i want some thing more grown up.
I have built it driven it loved it, no its time to pass it on to somebody else they will get a fantasstic car which has been done for them, might just sell the set-up and keep the car as itsa good shell :D
O?T have you got any further with the M3 since the last time i saw you :D

i have not seen the car in over a year

too much other shit going on, mainly compact and e24 have taken up some time and money.

the M3 has an engine option or 2, i'll decide after xmas which one to go for.

Bloody hell know how you feel, i did that when the car was in A-tech workshop for all that time.
Yeah compact looked good. Not see the E24 but knowing E24 its prob been an epic rebuild/restoration.
They all take the £££££
