Hi looking for some advise on injectors for a 2.7 turbo m20 project!

after reading alot of info does anyone have any advise on what injectors can be used?

high impedance! and from what i read need to be at least 350cc as the stock ones are only 147cc!

just wondered if anyone had come across a car with stock injectors that would fit and be big enough!

anyone use sabb 900 turbo ones?

what injectors are people using on stock motronic? and on after market?

i want to try and keep motronic for now but am shooting for 300-350 hp

Audi 5cyl ones are 315cc I think,

i have used them before to about 260hp. You´ll need at least 32lbs injectors for 350hp .I´d reccomend 42lbs
With great challenges comes great engineering.

From cts turbo in California. Postage was around £40 if I remember correctly. Check their website.

volvo T5 injectors (+1) will work for 8psi and then some.. they work out at 30lb/hr which is 315cc. i tuned an 8psi setup on these injectors and there was definately room for more boost before having to fit larger injectors. im planning on running similar size injectors for my own turbo M20 that im collecting parts for at the moment.

The volvo injectors come in three types as standard

orange ones : 315cc at 3bar

white ones : 350cc at 3bar

and blue ones : 350cc at 3bar and 395cc at 3.8bar

the white ones aren't very reliable and can fail as ive been told.

anything over 300cc should be sufficient for atleast 8-10psi at a minimum id think. as meathead says there are different T5 injectors, discovered that after i bought 1 set which i still have sitting here as i need 1 more to make a set of 6. the ones i mapped the 8psi car on were the same part number as the T5 ones i have but they came from a 6 cylinder S80 of some sort so was a complete set of 6 to begin with.

dont forget if your running out of room for adjustment in fuel maps you can always chuck in an adjustable regulator and bump the fuel pressure over 3 bar to save having to buy a new set of injectors.

also a bit of random info u might find useful.. 6 cylinder S80 fuel rail has identical injector spacing as M20 rail but isnt a return fuel system. also M50 rail has the same injector spacing as the M20 and is a return system and some if not all of the M50 rails have a 3.5 bar regulator as standard. i may actually have an M50 rail around here somewhere if i didnt toss it or something. still have the S80 rail which is alloy, could maybe be drilled/tapped or whatever to convert it to a return style rail and tarted up to look all pretty.. actually thats not a bad idea there
