Hello zoners!

Im abit confused with what spec my engine is as I am researching on how my engine would be converted into a 2.7.

I understand I have a b25 head - but cant work out what the block is as ive searched for 27K89 and cant find nothing.?

Yes you have a 325i head, the engine code number is near the bottom of the dipstick on a machined flat area.

Having said that the crank could have been changed. The only sure way is to whip the sump off and check

Cheers for the pointer - Il have a look in the morning.

I just got confused thinking the 27K89 meant it was a 2.7 eta bottom end which I highly doubted after looking at the wiki guide of building a 2.7 as it points out it uses 27 6KA.

Whipping the sump off would mean draining the oil :(

thats not the engine number, the engine number is next to the sump, below cylinder number 2, inlet side.
