Looks like a turbo from a Ford RSTurbo, Oh which I believe is a T2 as a lot of people convert them to T3.

It does look Escort RS turbo-ish... Had a look at the pics and given that it has a Turbo technics label on it makes me wonder if it's off something else (as the compressor housing orientation looks wrong for an Escort and it certainly isn't Cosworth size or shape!) or maybe been re-built by them. Might be worth giving them a call:

They should be able to shed some light on it. If so, then you should also be able to get a compressor map to see what airflow it can tolerate before it starts choking or stalling.
If it is a T2, then it's going to be screaming it's nuts off at about 240hp so it might be worth looking at something bigger to flow more air? Turbo matching is a balance of exhaust turbine spool up versus compressor airflow so trial and error isn't going to be a good thing!!

Cheers,

T2 will never work nicely on any bmw engine.
With great challenges comes great engineering.

Thanks for information..

I contacted Turbo Technics a while ago.. regarding the turbo.. they required the model number.. but all mine has is TT, after i told them that.. they never got back to me.. I may blast them a call in regards to it.

only 240hp? blimey not really good for much then lol.

Hopefully I can get more out of Turbo Technics.. As even if i don't use the turbo.. at least when i come to sell it i know what im selling..

Will update once i get a response from TurboTechnics

As i recall the RS turbo escorts are actually t3's and the fiesta's use t2's as when I had my fiesta I straight swapped a t3 from an rst escort onto it.

Does look the same size as my t3 though.

Found a pic off my facebook, as you do

both are t3's

yeah escort rs uses a t3 fiestas actually use a t25 but it aint either of them coz the exhaust housing is totally wrong on both escorts and fiesta they have a 90 degree neck faceing the ground
where as the sierra cossie has a straight 3 bolt exhaust housing like that picture
when they dont the escort cossie they made a large turbo model and a small turbo model i believe that turbo it from a small turbo escort cossie
