Has anyone actually bought one of these manifolds?

Been looking into turboing my car, I'm pretty bored of the power and would like Turbo power.

I've been looking into Megasquirt etc as this is what I'll be doing this winter.

So just wondered what people think to the manifold or is it worth making a manifold?

Jamie.

yes and its a bad build ,you will need to have a remote oil filter set up and if you dont make a turbo bracket to hold the weight the welds do break on the manifold

try and get a log manifold or make one

My friend used one of those as he bought it for 35pounds of somebody. With a brace built(for nothing) it did the job perfectly. He did not have a remote oil filter setup BTW.

I just bought one of those for my car, cause my homemade adapter was shitty.
Will let you guys know how much work is needed to fit it and take some pics when fitted.

Tuned with a piggyback and in the end 315cc audi injectors to get the fuelling right at the top.

In doing so there was absolutely ZERO issues with mixture elsewhere thanks to the piggyback. I would of course just tune the ecu now, but then I didn´t have access to it.

After the rebuild and turbo conversion and test driving 2km , we went on a 800mile trip

did 13.9sec 1/4mile at 6-7psi but ran it later at 12psi for a good while. Upgraded to a split pulse manifold and KKK K27.7 57mm turbo that ran him 12.04sec 1/4mile on VEMS

The original T3 comes from a Mosselman turbo kit. on that manifold with a "3 exhaust it was able to do max boost BEFORE 2k in the higher gears.

How´s that for pics and some info

:)

Nice to see some pics of it fitted, hopefully mine will fit fine too.

How much boost did it take your friend to run the 12.04sec 1/4 mile? was it on street tires?

He ran 1.1-1.2bar bar boost on "26 slicks with the S257 Borg Warner turbo and new custom exhaust manifold

Ok, I'm looking for a 11sec run with my car next year. Even 11.99 would make me very happy.

Ok so I got the manifold in today, have to say that it is shitty, there is weld material in the runners.
You can see where they tried to grind away some material to free up the ports but stil they could've grinded it more.

The holes don't line up so you can't bolt the manifold to the head, will have to open up the bolt holes.(have to make them slotted so you can move the manifold around to line it up withe the cylinder head).

So there's is some work to do to get it fitted. but stil, it's a cheap manifold and it will flow better than what I had before.

Will get pics up when I start working on it.

Gunni, Did you guys use a shorter oil filter when turning the housing upside down like that?

I'm having a hard time fitting my manifold with the oilfilter housing on

No stock stuff, you do need to bend the oil lines a little bit but it does fit

That's my problem, I'm using AN fittings on the oil filter adapter, no bending possible there.
Think I'll have to get a relocation kit, or a very short oil filter

I never EVER remove stock stuff unless absolutely required. OEM stuff is most of the time very good and problem free.

We have had no weld breakage problems with this, mainifold. The manifold MOUNTING FLANGE is not so accurately dimensioned ,pehaps just ours as we had to saw it in halves so it aligned with the studs and ports much better.

Concerning the OIL FILTER we just fitted a shorter length oil filter and re-bent the oil cooler pipes
missing the manifold without a problem
