m20 with m51d25 parts

Hello all brainys, im about to build my dream car and want it as good as posible, only thing is that the pay check doesnt like my dream, so im trying to do as good as posible as far as the cash alowes it,


anyways, im going to build on a m20b20 engine, im going to use a crankshaft from M51D25, it fits with a few modifications, the rods from the M51D25 too as they are 130, like the m20's.

now the question is, can i use the pistons from the m51 aswell? they are 80mm just like the m20, a few ppl told me that it will work, but loads of ppl tells me it wont,

has anyone tryd this combination? or know if it works, or if it dont, and if it dont please explain why so i know =)
