Ive just noticed on certain other bmw forums ie: e36coupe and bmw5 that there was a south devon meeting, cruise and pub lunch on the moors sunday just gone 30th march. How come no zoners were invited? Bit of bmw snobbery me thinks!

I've only been to a handful of E30 meets. Only E30's were invited - but a few other BMW's did turn-up.
E30 forum.... E30's invited
E36 forum.... E36's invited
That's what it's all about.
This is why I no longer drive an E30......

Granted..however the same meet was posted on both forums. It was posted on here last year as i went in my M3. It was open to all...but obviously not this year. Like Hammo says the more the merrier..we are all enthusiasts. Chedder Gorge last year had a good mix of everything.

Maybe no connection at all but at a Dartmoor meet a couple of years ago where there was a mix of E30s and E36`s.Really good meet but later on that day when everyone got home some of the E36 girls were moaning saying the E30 boys were flicking stones up in front of them at junctions :chuckle:
I pt a post up on E36coupe for the last SouthWest meet.....not one single reply so can only assume its because of the above.

FOOK EM :tongue2:

Have you seen the green 87 325i on ebay? 130210210074. Its in torpoint and only got 88k on the clock and its in superb condition..£500 and no bids at the moment. Id have it myself but ive got no more room for another!

Ill have a think about organising a meet, with summer coming up it wouldnt be a bad idea..we'll see if Tyra comes!!

Yeah I saw it just after it was listed.Looks lovely but there again im one of the few resident `chromie` fans on here. Not a big fan of Green cars though although it still suits the car.Unfortunately no room here either.....driveway full of E30`s as per usual :P
Meet on Dartmoor in the summer would be cool, ill have my Black one finished easily by then.

Like you mate i appreciate a low mileage well looked after car..no matter what it is. Ive got myself a replacement box and its being fitted this week. Would have been earlier but my mate who is fitting it had a motorbike accident on dartmoor on sunday. The sheep came off worse!!

Quite rare to see a 4-door apparently with no sunroof. What's that multi-way switch next to the handbrake? Liking those tasteful graveyard shots...

I like E30's so when I go to a meet I want to see E30's. We could post our meets on other forums but people would probably have the same opinion of their model of cars, when they do mix its ok

He was over taking a slow moving convoy of e36's and 5's!! No..he was test riding his mates bike and a sheep walked out in front of him. He killed the sheep, the bike and nearly himself!! The farmers chasing him for compensation. He thinks he'll be back to work tomorrow and get on with my car as soon as. He's got a very tidy dolphin grey tec2 325i sport..should stick to that i reckon!

Whats the best way to go about organising a meet? What sort of numbers and location etc?

We were returning from a week in Cornwall & called in at the Tamar bridge part of the meet for 15 mins to look over the motors there, all present seemed friendly enough but I can't remember which site I saw the meet advertised on.
:D :D
Gone, but not forgotten !!
