hi
i have noticed alot of the english lads get together and help eachother out with there cars doing repairs or whatever and i think this is something we should do as it will help alot of us get to know eachother better than it would at a meet ect.
im more than happy to donate some of my time to this to help out other zoners with there cars and would love to get to know some of the lads better so if anyone is intrested stick your name down and also anyone thats needing a hand with there car also get your name up and we will see whats what.

good lads all we need now is someone who needs a hand?

Well, when i get back I'll be in need of someone that can figure out why my 325i won't start (it died just after I drove it through to where it's being stored). I'm sure it's a problem with the alarm/immobilisor caused by the flat battery it had, but i really don't have a scoob about electrics.
I'll also be swapping over the front suspension on that one and trying my hand at welding on a new exhaust bracket if anyone fancies coming along to watch and laugh
. After that it should be MOTable
I'm hoping that the 318i will just fire straight up and sail through its MOT, but that's probably wishful thinking!

I'm doing good mate, just got back to Geneva on Saturday after being at home for xmas/new year.gra325i wrote: ally like the new sig..hows switzerland been? you seen shumachers place on lake geneva?
I must admit, it's not turned out to be my favourite city ever - a bit too expensive hence a bit boring. Probably quite good if you were Mr Schumacher though!
Looking forward to heading to Spain now, should be around mid February
Cheers for the sig comment - did you spot that the skyline in the background is Edinburgh?

welding of rear inner arch, running problems (car holds back, misfires etc), will be changing my 1.6 for 1.8 in next month or so which will require most of the 1.6 engine parts being fitted to the 1.8 as is only a partial engine, plenty to do with my car lol.
any help welcomed.
and appreciated.

This idea was originally suggested to me at the Zone Scottish meet in Fort William in October, by 320Touring (Neil, where are you?).
I'm sh*te with mechanical stuff, but as jbh said above ^^, he has most of the tools/equipment required.
So, who's up for doing an engine conversion (m40 to m20) in the near future?

hi
so thats adam and grant that both need work doing.
we need to get some dates set then with as much notice as possible so we can arrange exactly who will be available to come.
im pretty much available every weekend with a bit of notice so i can get someone to look after my son as my partner works weekends.

im fairly easy on weekends my main thing would be getting to places unless its grants engine as that will be getting done in my drive. as long as someone is able to stop in by denny to pick me up im there.
wullie you still needing the rear arb ?

ive got an m20 sittin as well infact i have the whole e34 that its attached to but it has been lying for a couple of years so didnt think it be worth fitting the engine also not got a lot of funds to spend on it. is there not a lot of extra bits needed to swap the engine with my e30.
as this could be an option instead of the 1.8!

can you keep your eyes peeled for a maf from either a 3 or 5 series from 1992 to 1994 (non vanos) 2.5 as mine is fucked and theres none round my way. it will have 6 pins in the connection as the newer ones only have 4.
