This looks like a bit of a giggle.
only £55. Me and a few mates are thinking of giving it a go.
Would be good to have a few e30 crews doing it.

Its a way off, and only has 2 cars registered so far.
Also the organiser seems to not be able to spell, so i have doubts as to whether he can organise an event like this...
But it could be fun if he pulls it off, will keep an eye on it and if it looks like its taking off I'm up for it.

Munky lets just tag along, block their routes by crashing lots and not pay?

Yes, it looks like great fun. However it looks like it's really not been organised at all. No matter what the website says about it 'not being a race' & not condoning breaking the law, it is a race, on public roads, & I very much doubt they've sought the necessary permission (or that it would be granted if they had). My bet's on it never happening, but hopefully I'll be proven wrong!
If 200 cars enter, with some potentially very quick ones having to do a lot of overtaking (having started 3 hours after the first cars), it doesn't take much of a stretch to anticipate nasty accidents & people getting in serious trouble. Oh, & basing the seeds on standard 0-60 means that it's clearly going to be a highly modified not-very-fast-to-start-with car that wins; the 'supercars' that they say will be entering won't stand a chance!
How's that for a negative post!?
At least £55x200 (well x2 at the moment but who's counting) = lots of potential profit for the 'organisers' though.

A very mature overview, Ziggy. That mod status as sewn those pipe and slippers to you!!
The integrity of the orgainsers and the level of wankerness of other 'competitors' would make me think twice. I don't like other people taking my life into their hands.
Oh, ps Ziggy,
We''ll make sure you drink that maturity away this weekend, Sambucca right?

Can see this going 2 ways a lot of crashes or the fuzz being very busy.

Oh and ziggy... I noticed he couldnt spell so have already doubted his ability to organise an event such as this.
Also took note that, unlike the gumball, he offers a prize for the fastest. It doesnt matter how much he says its not a race on the site, he has offered a cash incentive to drive fast, so the police can and will take note of this and probably shut it down.
As I said, IF it happens it could be a laugh.

Me and Gray were discussing this last night and we're in.munky30 wrote:

i really need my driving license so theres no chance of winning.
The police will definatly be all over this for sure so i suspect the cash prize will only cover the fuel, tyres, brakes, fines, future insurance etc
But IF it happens it would be amusing to take part.
Maybe it's not all about the sat nav it's all about the local knowledge.
