UPDATE: I have spoken to the garage today (8th May) and have penciled us in for Saturday 21st July. Our booking is based on 15+ cars, altho it would be great if we could get up to 30! Prices are £35 for a power run and is suitable for all our cars.

Was just looking through the meets section and there aren't any Dorset (or more specific Poole/Bournemouth) so I had an idea..

As far as I'm aware there aren't many (if at all!) rolling roads down here without leaving the county, however there is one that was revealed at a Impreza/Evo specialist last summer that I've been to a few times with my old motors.

The chaps in there are quite sound (if a bit narrow-minded about their motors, my Nissan went in there looking standard and came with 300bhp..they soon changed their tune!), and for rolling road days they bring down their burger van :D

There's quite a bit of space down there to park up all our e30's and it would be good to have a few on the rollers to see how everyone is getting on, the last e30 rolling road I went to was about 2 years ago - it was good fun at the rollers and a top laugh when we went for a pub lunch. I can't see this being any different...apart from a few country roads to blast along :)

This will obviously need to be organised with the garage but for the time being I'll just say the end of July to see what sort of numbers will be interested, to be honest I reckon it should be massive :bmw:

The garage is Triton Motorsport, it's located at Bournemouth Airport, postcode: BH23 6NW. Here's a quick multimap of it:

This isn't all about the rolling road though, there are many good roads and some nice photoshoot areas to get some pics and of course, the pubs out in the country always serve the best food!

Anyone interested just stick your name down, and also mention if you'd go on the rollers or not (would need some rough figures to give to the garage).

for a high speed gut churning run you want the road that runs down past christchurch dr ski slope, start at the roundabout and plant your foot on the floor, and only release to change up at the redline for immediate danger and fun!

Go for it Mark. See which one of our lowly underpowered automatic turds kicks most out. :D
I won't feel so pathetic in comparison if there's one with similar output to mine, even if you do beat me. :o:
You know you want to. You'll know just HOW much better the bigger engine is when you get it in then too. 8)
