I've been to a Dutch classic BMW meeting before and it was good. For you, I'd get the Harwich - Rotterdam ferry (about 3 hours) and Apeldooooorn is about an hour's motorway run.

...looks good, 70 road miles on this side, 70 on the other... Hopefully the fuel situation will be sorted by then. Probably at least two or three tanks for the return trip
