Or any other meets in the area - I'll try and get to York dragway when the dates work out but otherwise.... it doesn't seem like there's much going on in Yorkshire anymore
What happened to the Milk Bar meets?

It died a death because the place was so utterly ghastly - crap food, miserable service and carpet so dirty your shoes stuck to it.
As well as the Notts meet, there is another, vastly better BMW meet every month at Howden on the last Tuesday of every month. That's really worth going to and it's close to York.
See you there June 28th!

We (when I say 'we' I mean myself and a few friends with >ahem< RWD Fords) have started having a regular meet up at a cafe near Morley on the first Sunday of the month, between 8am and 11.30am. We normally have a fry up and a few cups of tea (tea & coffee are free btw). If you're interested I'll post up some more details. It's still only very small at the moment, but acorns and all that.

Milkbar meets could be started again,I guess, but my working pattern has changed,so Friday nights are out.
If any of the past 'regulars' has a suggestion as to the way forward, please say so!

We get most of the old milkbar regulars at the Barnes Wallis, they usually take over the corner of the pub near the fireplace.daimlerman wrote:Milkbar meets could be started again,I guess, but my working pattern has changed,so Friday nights are out.

Its a cracking little meet, and hoot of drive if you come down from York via elvington and Sutton on derwent.
I tried starting a Sunday meet at the milkbar last year to coincide with the F1 coverage on their plasma screens in the bar.
What could be better for a car group... Motorsport on the telly and a carvery meal with your mates.
It worked the first couple of times but the interest soon fizzled out.
The cold hard truth is that its a bit of a midden and there are much better places for a car meet
